Wide range of RF and Microwave diodes
Alaris Linwave can offer standard diodes and custom packaging solutions. The diodes are available in screw based, push fit, cavity, stripline and surface mount packages as standard, and in single or double die configurations.

Gunn Diodes
- The Gunn oscillator diode is the best known and most readily available device in the family of transferred electron devices (TED). They are employed as DC to microwave converters using the negative resistance characteristics of bulk Gallium Arsenide(GaAs) and only require a standard, low impedance, constant voltage power supply, thereby eliminating complex circuitry.

Detector Diodes
- For detection applications, the diode is used as a rectifier to produce a DC output proportional to the very low levels of RF power incident upon it. Detector diodes can be unbiased, but they are much more sensitive to low level signals if they have a small applied DC bias. At higher bias levels the detector becomes much easier to match over a wide frequency range.

Custom Housings & Hermetic Enclosures
We design and manufacture custom RF enclosures tailored for demanding environments, including airborne and defence systems. Using 3D CAD tools, we create hermetically sealed housings optimised for system integration, mechanical resilience, and environmental protection up to 100GHz.
Harsh Environment Design Proving
Alaris Linwave designs high-reliability products for extreme environments — from submarines and satellites to medical and aerospace systems. We conduct in-house and certified external testing to MIL-STD standards, including vibration, thermal cycling, burn-in, and hermetic sealing, ensuring long service life and mission-critical performance.
Integration of Embedded software
Alaris Linwave adds smart functionality to RF modules through embedded software, supporting interfaces from RS232 to Ethernet and CANBus. We develop custom firmware, GUIs, and automated test systems to enable advanced control, monitoring, and seamless integration into wider platforms.
Automated Test & Programming
We deliver robust, scalable automated test systems for RF and microwave products. Our ATE software integrates with industry-standard equipment, reducing test time and errors while boosting quality, yield analysis, and production efficiency.
Product GUIs and support Capability
Graphical User Interfaces can be provided for customer test interfacing or for product field implementation. These can vary from the test implementation support for system integration to full user interface for end customer testing. Vacuum Solder Reflow Oven Capability
Alaris Linwave's new Vacuum Solder Reflow Oven enhances their eutectic die attach capability for high-power GaN and GaAs MMICs using Gold/Tin solder preforms. The VSRO supports multiple processes including fluxless soldering and flip chip attachment under vacuum, nitrogen, or formic acid environments. Programmable temperature profiles ensure high-quality, void-free die attachment and can also cure next-generation sintered epoxies requiring precise temperature control.
